Mid-Term Action Plan

For five years, starting in AY2018, based on our "Second Mid-Term Action Plan (2018-2022),"” our entire staff has worked together to develop Kobe Gakuin. Although we completed the final year in AY2022, we formulated a new five-year plan, the "Third Mid-Term Action Plan (2023-2027)," in order to grow further. AY2024 is the second year of that plan. As we continue to carefully adapt to our changing environment, we are steadily implementing the plan.

Kobe Gakuin University

Basic Policy:We will promote education, research, student support, and social contributions according to the basic principles of the University Charter, and build a "University that After Ages" through good management.

Education field

[Mid-term goals] 

Based on our three policies, we will carry out education that can promote the growth of students.
(1) Promotion of qualitative improvements in undergraduate courses
(2) Improvement of graduate courses
(3) Adjustmant and enhancement of the Institute for Promotion of Higher Education
(4) Promotion of FD activities
(5) Adjustmant and enhancement of educational environments
(6) Promotion of globalization in education
(7) Review of our admissions selection system for admission based on the Admission Policy
(8) Promotion of collaboration with our affiliated junior high school and high school

Student support field

We will provide comprehensive student support to assist in the growth of students.
(1) Enhancement of support for student lifestyles
(2) Enhancement of learning support
(3) Support for student diversity
(4) Encouragement and support for extracurricular activities
(5) Enhancement of career support

Research field

[Mid-term goals] 

We will encourage diverse and outstanding academic research, give its results back to society extensively, and promote the formation of distinctive research centers in cooperation with local communities.

(2) Acquisition of a variety of external funds
(3) Promotion of research collaboration both on campus and off campus parties

Social contribution field

We will make extensive contributions to society and fulfill our University's social responsibilities by strengthening both regional partnership and industry-academia-government collaboration.

(2) Give educational research results back to society
(3) Promotion for volunteer activities and enhancement of support systems
(4) Promotion of projects for general community sports and cultural club.

We will carry out efficient and flexible university management under the leadership of our University’s President.
(1) Promotion of functional effectiveness of internal quality assurance systems

Kobe Gakuin Educational Foundation

Basic Policy:We will strive for harmonious growth among the schools established by our foundation.

While respecting independence in education, we will establish a stable management base and aim to become an appealing school that represents Hyogo and Kobe.
(1) Strengthening of corporate governance
(2) Establishment of stable and continuous financial base
(3) Strengthening of collaboration between established schools
(4) Improvement of labor environment in which diverse human resources can excel

Kobe Gakuin University Junior High School and High School

Basic Policy:Based on our school philosophy, we will develop human resources who can contribute to society and have the ability to live independently with a harmonious balance between knowledge, morals, and physical health.

We will improve our educational capabilities by promoting collaborative education among our junior high school, high school, and university, and launching educational activities which respond to changes in society.
(1) Implementation of curriculum (4 courses), and curriculum in accordance with high school/university connections between highshool and University.
