授業の方法 ／Class Format	講義形式（教員による講義）と演習形式（学生による発表およびディスカッション）を兼ねる。 日・英語を用いた、少数による対話型のインターアクティヴ授業。日本人学生の履修に関しては、事前の申し込みが必要（履修制限あり）。 留学生も参加する科目であるため、半分を英語、半分を日本語で行う。 毎回の講義で、留学生には、日本語での課題、日本人学生には、英語での課題を提示し、それらをもとに講義を進めていく。 履修決定者は、事前に講義資料をアップするので、所定の箇所でダウンロードをすること。 【連絡先】岩田メール：　miwat@law.kobegakuin.ac.jp
授業の目的 ／Class Purpose	ディプロマ・ポリシーに従い、国際化社会に対応した法的・政治的素養を身につけるということを目的とする。 本講義は、外国人留学生を主に対象とする。少人数クラスであるため、演習形式にて行う。講義の目的は、日本の法律および政治について全般的な理解を深めることにある。 本講義では、日本の基本的な法律と政治に関して（日本語・英語）を毎回履修者に報告してもらい、各報告について、履修者全員でディスカッション（質疑応答の形式）を行う。また、時事問題も積極的に取り上げ、履修者全員でディスカッションを行う。本講義は日英両語で行われるので、英語によるプレゼンテーション等に関心をもつ日本人学生の参加も歓迎する。 This course is held by weekly seminars. The main purpose of the course is to introduce the basic legal and political system of Japan to visiting foreign students. In each seminar class, each student is required to make a presentation on the subject given in advance. After the presentation, all of the students are required to take part in the discussion. The current news on Japanese law and politics will be also discussed during the class. This class will be held both in Japanese and English. Japanese students who are motivated by learning in English are also welcomed.
到　達　目　標 ／Class Objectives	受講学生は、日本の法律および政治について、日本語（外国人学生）／英語（日本人学生）で説明できるようになる。　 Students will be able to explain the Japanese legal and political system in Japanese (for foreign students) or English (for Japanese students).

授業の進め方 ／Method of Instruction	日本の基本的な法律と政治に関する文献（日本語・英語）の一部を毎回履修者に報告してもらう（留学生には、できれば日本語で。日本人学生には、できれば英語）、そして各報告につき、履修者全員でディスカッション（質疑応答形式）を行う。また、時事問題も積極的に取り上げ、履修者全員でディスカッションを行う。 In each seminar class, each student is required to make a presentation on the subject given in advance. After the presentation, all of the students are required to take part in the discussion. The current news on Japanese law and politics will be also the subject of discussion during the class. This class will be held both in Japanese and English.
履修するにあたって ／Instruction to Students	私語、遅刻、授業中の携帯電話・携帯メール使用は厳禁。 No talk, no latecomer, no use of mobile phones. 履修する外国人留学生の日本語能力にもよるが、本講義では、英語がメインになることもあり得る。 In principle, both English and Japanese are used in the class. But English may be mainly used in case foreign students have difficulties in keeping up with the class. 日本人学生は、最低限の総合的な英語力（単語力、文法、筆記、会話力）を有していること。 Japanese students are required to have a minimum English skill (vocabulary, grammar, writing, and conversation) to attend this class.
授業時間外に必要な学修内容・時間 ／Required Work and Hours outside of the Class	テキストあるいは指定された資料を丹念に読み、分からない言葉や表現を事前に調べておくこと。 事前学習として、留学生は、指定された箇所の日本語の音読、分からない単語や表現の意味を調べ、内容を把握しておくこと。日本人学生は、指定された箇所を英語に翻訳できるように、英単語や英語表現を調べておくこと。 学習時間の目安は、予習をメインとして１時間半程度。毎回、関心をもった時事ニュースに関する発表を行う機会を設けるので、その準備を行ってくること（留学生は日本語、日本人学生は英語を基本とする）。 事後学習としては、留学生も日本人学生も、その日習った語彙や表現を復習すること（目安は30分程度）。
提出課題など ／Quiz,Report,etc	毎回、テキストの一部分を日本語/英語に訳し、内容を説明する。 At each class, students are required to translate a few paragraphs of the text into Japansese/English and explain the detail of content. 毎回、国内外の時事ニュースを日本語/英語で紹介する。 At each class, students are required to make a small presentation about a latest topic news happened in Japan or abroad.
成績評価方法・基準 ／Grading Method・Criteria	演習形式のため、毎回の講義での積極的姿勢を評価の対象とする。評価基準は、報告内容を全体の60％、ディスカッションにおける発言内容や取り組み姿勢を40％とする。 Students are required to attend every seminar and actively take part in the discussion. Students will be evaluated on the basis of a quality of the presentation (60%) and the attitudes towards the discussion in the class (40%).
