授業の目的 ／Class Purpose	実用英語1/2は共通教育リテラシー科目群外国語分野に属し、大学初年次における英語の基礎科目として位置づけられる。学部での学びで必要となる英語４技能を包括的に学習する。その中で中学・高校で培ってきた英語力の基礎固めをする。既習の文法項目について総復習をし、様々な技能の基礎となる能力を育てる。この科目は、全学DPに示す「獲得した知識や技能を活用し、国内外において、価値観や意見の異なるさまざまな人と議論し、学びを深め、協働して社会に役立てることができる」を目指す。
到　達　目　標 ／Class Objectives	・ 場面設定や背景をもとに、短い会話の全体的な内容を把握できる。（知識） ・ 自分自身について、大学生活や身の回りのできごとについて簡単に述べることができる。（知識） ・ 300-500語の英文を読み、その内容を具体的に説明できる。（知識） ・ 相手の発話を尊重し、じっくりと耳を傾ける姿勢を示すことができる。（態度・習慣） ・ 読んだ英文について自分の意見や感想を仲間と共有できる。（態度・習慣） ・ 初出の単語や表現について辞書などで調べることができる。（技能）
授業のキーワード ／Keywords	リスニング・スピーキング・リーディング・語彙・文法
授業の進め方 ／Method of Instruction	原則単元終了ごとに教科書の既習項目に基づいた小テストを実施する。 自主発表および課題ワークを中心に授業を進める。単語の確認、本文理解をして授業に臨むこと。 なお、授業の進度は受講者の理解度や習得度に応じて適時調整するため、必ずしもシラバスと一緒にならない場合もあることを了解されたい。
履修するにあたって ／Instruction to Students	1) 3分の2以上の出席に達しないときは、特別の事情がない限り単位認定さない。 2)授業を欠席した際のフォロー（宿題や課題の確認）は各自自己責任で行うこと。 3) 授業の予習・復習をしっかりと行って毎回の授業に臨むこと。 4)宿題課題の提出期限は厳守（課題の解答、解説後はいかなる事情があっても受け取らないので注意すること。） 5)テキスト忘れや授業中の私語、スマホやゲーム機使用などは減点とする。 6)辞書必携（電子辞書可）＊スマホ利用は不可とするので注意すること。 7)授業を欠席することは、クラスワークやクイズの得点機会が減ることになるので、注意すること。
授業時間外に必要な学修内容・時間 ／Required Work and Hours outside of the Class	1) 授業外で行う課題。（毎日最低10分） 2) 授業日に学んだ内容の予習、復習。（毎日1時間程度）
