授業の目的 ／Class Purpose	この授業の担当者は薬学部所属であり、この科目は、アドバンス科目であり１年次に配当している。 この科目は、学部のDPに示す8項目のうち、1,3,4を目指す。 ディプロマ・ポリシー（学位授与の方針） The aim of this course is to provide students with knowledge about the practice of evidence-based medicine (EBM). This includes the 5 steps of the EBM process: 1) asking clinical questions, 2) searching for evidence, 3) critically appraising the evidence, 4) applying the evidence to the patient, including shared decision-making; and 5) taking action based on step 1 thourgh 4.
到　達　目　標 ／Class Objectives	各回を通じて，以下の8項目を到達目標とする。 JB-(3)-①-1 科学、医療に関連する英語の代表的な用語を列挙し、その内容を説明できる。 JB-(3)-①-2 科学、医療に関して英語で書かれた文章を読んで、内容を説明できる。 JB-(3)-②-3 科学、医療に関連する英語の代表的な用語、英語表現を列記できる。 JB-(3)-②-4 科学、医療に関連する簡単な文章を英語で書くことができる。（知識・技能） JB-(3)-③-1 英語の基礎的音声を聞き分けることができる。（技能） JB-(3)-③-2 英語の会話を聞いて内容を理解して要約できる。（技能） JB-(3)-③-3 英語による簡単なコミュニケーションができる。（技能・態度） JB-(3)-③-4 科学、医療に関連する代表的な用語を英語で発音できる。（技能） AD-B-⑤-2 諸外国における薬剤師の活動分野について、日本と比較しながら説明できる。 E3-(1)-④-1 EBMの基本概念と実践のプロセスについて説明できる。 E3-(1)-④-2 代表的な臨床研究法（ランダム化比較試験、コホート研究、ケースコントロール研究など）の長所と短所を挙げ、それらのエビデンスレベルについて概説できる。 E3-(1)-④-3 臨床研究論文の批判的吟味に必要な基本的項目を列挙し、内的妥当性（研究結果の正確度や再現性）と外的妥当性（研究結果の一般化の可能性）について概説できる。
