授業の目的 ／Class Purpose	この授業ではディプロマポリシーの中でも (1) 実践的で高度な外国語の適用ができる (2) 言語の基礎にある多様な社会、文化、歴史、政治、経済などについて幅広い知識や教養を身に付けることができる  ことを目的としている。 人間の心理について実験する時、どのような疑問から始まり、それがどういう風に実験の計画やデータ収集につながり、どのような結論に至るのだろうか。本講義では、実験心理学の基礎となる理論と方法について英語で学ぶ。学びを深めるために講義、クラス内ディスカッション、そしてミニ実験などをクラス内で行う。 授業後半には学生が自分のミニ実験を計画し、お互いを対象として実験を行う。これを通じて学生たちは英語コミュニケーション、計画性など家庭や学校や社会において発揮できるスキルを培う。
到　達　目　標 ／Class Objectives	1. Students will be able to learn about the core concepts behind experimental psychology, and use them as a way of thinking about the world. 2. Students will learn about the process that builds up to an actual psychology experiment 3. Students will gain an understanding of various types of experiments, as well as ethical issues in psychological research. 4. Students will gain the communicative and organizational skills in English that are needed in order to complete their own research project.

授業の進め方 ／Method of Instruction	For the first half of the semester, information will be given in lecture style, where students will be asked to take notes and write short reports using designated worksheets. In the second half, students will propose and design their own research project, which will be conducted with other members of the course. (Note: The nature of this project will depend on how many students are in the course)
履修するにあたって ／Instruction to Students	この授業は海外留学をすでに済ませた３回生と４回生が対象となるため、すべて英語で進める。また、クラス内活動がとても重要な授業であるため、ほぼ全ての授業に出席してアクティブに参加したくない学生は履修しないこと。
授業時間外に必要な学修内容・時間 ／Required Work and Hours outside of the Class	Students will need to study for at least one hour per week outside of class. This work includes any kind of background research and work necessary for their individual research projects.
提出課題など ／Quiz,Report,etc	Students will be required to turn in their notes and other short reports in every class. For each part of their individual projects, they will be given feedback each week, and be required to create their experiment based on this feedback.
成績評価方法・基準 ／Grading Method・Criteria	Evaluation:  Reading homework (20%), Final project (40%), In-class participation and reports (40%)
