授業の目的 ／Class Purpose	この授業ではディプロマポリシーの中でも (1) 実践的で高度な外国語の適用できる (2) 言語の基礎にある多様な社会、文化、歴史、政治、経済などについて幅広い知識や教養を身に付けることができる (3) 教養現場で効果な英語に関する体系的で専門的知識と指導法を習得することができる ことを目的としている。In this class students will learn the critical thinking skills necessary for them to make better decisions and communicate more effectively.

授業の進め方 ／Method of Instruction	Lessons are structured around the textbook, with videos to supplement ideas relevant to class themes. Students will be responsible for teaching an assigned topic to other students.

授業時間外に必要な学修内容・時間 ／Required Work and Hours outside of the Class	Students will be responsible for online class work, assignments from the textbook, and teaching one lesson on an assigned topic to other students. Students should expect to spend approximately 60 minutes each week to complete this work.
提出課題など ／Quiz,Report,etc	Online quizzes from the textbook must be submitted by the due date on the course website.Each student will be responsible for teaching one class on an assigned topic. Question regarding homework should be directed to Professor Schalow at ijinkan@mac.com
成績評価方法・基準 ／Grading Method・Criteria	60% of the grade will be based on weekly classroom quizzes, and 40% of the grade will be based on teaching an assigned topic for discussion.
